Having to think of what to sell is a huge task and it can sometimes take ages before you come up with a good idea. Many people once they have a product just quickly put together a web page and stick it on there hoping to bring in the money.

In the real world it just doesn’t work like that. Sure you have a website but you need to promote your site, which can take time and while all this time is going by you could be missing out.

I find that a good way to to promote products is through affiliate marketing. I know the product wasn’t your idea, but it allows you to promote products and get paid a commission  when someone makes a purchase through your website.

Using this method is a good way to find out what people are interested in buying. Set up a webpage with different product promotions after a month or two check which have been the most successful. With this information you have, to a degree, you have just carried out your own study. Then you can try and think of ways you can improve that product that was most successful and then start selling your own.
